1/2 head of cabbage, shredded

1 16-ounce can fruit cocktail, juice packed, drained

1 cup non-fat plain yogurt

Juice of 1 lemon

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup vinegar

1 banana, sliced

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Chill. Serve.

Tips and Variations
  • Use any canned fruit, juice or water packed, in place of the fruit cocktail.
  • Vinegar in this recipe helps prevent the bananas from turning brown. They will still turn brown over time, however. If you are making this salad to eat on a different day, consider adding the sliced bananas right before serving.
