How to select

Choose firm bananas without any cuts or bruises. Greener bananas will continue to ripen after you buy them.

Peel the banana. Use it whole or sliced.

How to store

Unripe bananas should be stored at room temperature. Ripe bananas can be refrigerated for up to two weeks. Don't worry if refrigerated bananas turn black; the inside is ok to eat.

  • Add bananas slices to cereal, oatmeal, or yogurt. 
  • Spread peanut butter on a whole-grain tortilla, place banana slices on the tortilla and roll up. Add banana to any smoothie.
