How to select

Jackfruit will have a sweet smell when it's almost ripe. Choose jackfruit that yields to slight pressure.

How to prepare

Using a sharp knife, cut the jackfruit in half lengthwise, then crosswise to make four pieces. Remove the core and seeds from each piece. Separate the fruit from the flesh by bending each piece. Wash the fruit to remove any fibers. 

How to store

Jackfruit can be refrigerated for up to 7 days or frozen for 2 months or more.
